Panel thickness – thermal insulation
Our door panels are available in several insulating glass configurations – from double-pane to quadruple-pane, warm-edge solutions. Choose the level of thermal insulation that best suits your needs.
Glass units
Three insulating glass units
The cross-section of the panel clearly shows the layer build-up. More panes and warm-edge technology result in a more favourable heat transfer (U) value, which means a lower heating demand.
Double-pane
Double-pane insulating glass unit
- Panel thickness: 24–32 mm
- Low-e glass
- U value*: 1.6–1.3 W/m²K
Triple-pane
Triple-pane insulating glass unit
- Panel thickness: 36–52 mm
- Low-e glass, warm edge
- U value*: 1.2–0.75 W/m²K
Quadruple-pane
Quadruple-pane insulating glass unit
- Panel thickness: 55–90 mm
- Low-e glass, warm edge
- U value*: 0.7–0.4 W/m²K
